PS : I have been an 'abstract' writer since birth (Birth as in when i started writing..birth of The Writer me ;) :P).. This is one of my Attempts to write something more on factual side..with tinge of sarcasm in it.. So Dear readers, please bear with me!! And what inspired me?! I doubt I will need to answer this question after you have read through.
So.. I am driving through the very familiar road..the mono ride from home to office..and these are the lessons I am learning.
Indicator is essentially not an 'INDICATor'.. it should be renamed as 'MOODerator'.. because once the driver has turn on the indicator, now essentially his mood will define when does he want to turn.. is it this very moment.. (Such cases, indicator is just a formality..cz by the time the drivers around will convince their reflexes that the other person is taking a turn, the turn had been already taken.. Wrong TURN)..
Road side Parking seems to be the new 'hap' hobby of people after golf and guitar..The simple logic these people give is – “Road government ne bnaayi he.. and Government humne”.. So road belongs to Us..The only thing poor peer drivers could do is, ignore this ignorance and move on..
Dipper..??#&^ Oh..This word is not in our dictionaries..So let me explain - In an automobile headlight, a 'meeting' beam (dip beam) is provided in addition to the driving beam (high beam) so as to reduce the dazzle for those approaching head-on to the vehicle and avoid accidents. We surely must have read it on trucks - “Use dipper @ night”.. But how many of us use it!? Or should i ask, How many of us know what is it?!
You must have seen “Beam” from the driver approaching head-on to you..(Signalling that he will be crossing first and you should not overtake at that point).. but yet again.. misused.. Beam will be thrown after you have already overtaken half way through and you will be abused for not having traffic sense.. or for some drivers who consider road as “Racing Track”, the beam will be continuously on.. As if they are not beams but beacon lights.. and the drivers themselves are all officers and should be given way through!! God help!!
Horn..oh yes.. Honking horn!! Probably on 4th position in our list of 'hap' Hobbies, as I said, after Golf, Guitar and Road side parking!! You will get to listen various pitches and tones of horns – dhoom3 ringtone, MI horn, dog barking horn, trumpet horn.. And some 'alzheimer'ic drivers forget to stop honking.. they will be be honking even on an empty road!!
I know there are lot more diseases roaming on the road – Overtaking from wrong side, breaking the signal, flowing dupattas and saarees, using mobile while driving and many more.. But I have to sign off, I am driving ;) can't type more.. :P
(Hope I don't need to write inspiration courtesy in this one!! :/ )
